Susan’s Adventures at the AMA

In 2018, the American Medical Association contacted me to help with a top-secret project. Wrapping up a five-year grant to improve teaching practices at medical school across the US, the project’s participants wanted to celebrate the leader who successfully guided them through many adventures and experiments. With a theme of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, I illustrated and designed a 52-page book which the team presented to Susan at a meeting at the end of the year.

  • an illustration of a girl falling through the air
  • an illustration of a girl falling through the air and a rabbit falling while drinking tea
  • an illustration of a rabbit drinking tea while falling
  • an illustration of a girl leaping
  • an illustration of a girl looking down over a precipice
  • an illustration of a girl deep in thought
  • an illustration of a bottle of liquid with a "Drink Me" label attached
  • an illustration of a frog singing
  • an illustration of a caduceus
  • an illustration of a gryphon speaking with a girl
  • an illustration of a unicorn in a dress
  • an illustration of a gryphon thinking

I had a lot of fun adding the Queen of Heart’s soldiers throughout the book, too.
