I am an author, illustrator, and designer living in Northfield, Minnesota with my family. I love to write and draw and make stuff. Most of the time, I make picture books for children and their grown-ups.

Growing up, I loved drawing, watching cartoons, laughing at movies, copying comic strips, and building worlds out of Legos with my two brothers. And, of course, books! Anything with a story to it. Now that I’m grown up (if you can call it that) I still love all these things, only now I do them with my kids, too.

Several of the books I illustrated have won awards and accolades, which is always a thrill. But the main reason I keep going is because I love stories, and I love to share them.
